Marigolds - the October birth flower

Marigolds - the October birth flower

The cheerful marigold represents joy, positivity and creativity. The deep orange hues bring a warm splash of colour to any autumnal garden! They were used in Victorian times to represent grief and this links to their their association with funerals and the circle of life, death and rebirth.

Marigolds are significant in the Indian culture. They are used for decorating at Diwali, as offerings to the deities, represent good fortune and happiness and are used to decorate at wedding celebrations.
