Travelling the World: Queenstown, New Zealand

I was asked by a lovely couple to paint a scene of Queenstown, where they had met 10 years previously.

The town held such wonderful memories for them both and they wanted to capture it in an illustration.

I chose this iconic view looking down across Lake Wakatipu with The Remarkables mountain range in the background. 

Essential Family Time: Jenkins Quay, Devon, Uk

A young family came to me who regularly holiday at the same idyllic location in Devon and have done so for many years.

It held a special place in the heart of four generations within the family!  We worked together to pick the perfect image from a source of photographs. It is such a picturesque image, it was a joy to paint!

After receiving my painting they added a series of prints to the order which were given as gifts to the family members!

"I got in contact with Sarah and asked her if she was able to paint something for my mother for Christmas. I presented Sarah with a few images of Jenkins Quay, a place really special for myself and all of my family. Sarah then created the most beautiful painting, I couldn’t quite believe how fantastic it turned out. Sarah captured all the details spectacularly. I’m forever grateful to Sarah for being able to do this and remind us all of the safe haven we all love. Sarah was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you so much Sarah."

Iconic Architecture: Happisburgh, Norfolk

This iconic lighthouse found on the cliffs of Happisburgh, pronounced ‘Haze-bruh,’ Norfolk is a popular holiday destination for us Bedfordians! 

But sadly the residents are having to deal with the severe coastal erosion in this pretty part of the world.

This is a favourite illustration of mine, I have sold many prints and card bundles featuring this design!

Cultural City Break: Paris, France

This was a personal project after taking the family abroad following a long period of lockdowns!

It was a special trip as it was our first family holiday abroad, and so introducing the children to foreign languages, foreign food and some incredible architecture, they loved it and I created this fully personalised print as a keepsake for them.

Each watercolour illustration a reminder of some of our favourite parts of the holiday!
