Join me for a series of 3 Watercolour classes on the subject of 'Water Control in Watercolours.'
Understanding the use of water in our watercolours is the key to successful painting. Together we will test and explore different consistencies of our paint and how to use them to the best effect.
I encourage painters of all levels to join these classes. But the beginner sessions would be perfect if you are looking to do an individual class.
Week 1: 11th November - The Control of Water. (Beginner level). Together we will test different levels of water in our paints, working in gradients and ratios, understanding how the water influences the flow and texture of our painting.
Week 2: 25th November - Dry and Precise. With a controlled use of water we will look at detailed botanical painting.
Week 3: 9th December - Wet and Loose. We will let go of our control and work loosely, using wet and watery techniques.
All materials will all be provided but please feel free to bring in your own if you would rather. You may like to work the practice exercises in your own sketchbook, for reference later.
The sessions will run alternate weeks. This will give you a chance to practice in between our meet ups, should you wish.
This price includes all 3 sessions. There are 10 spaces available for this series of classes.
Refunds: I am unable to provide refunds if you choose to cancel your enrolment, miss a class, or are unable to attend for personal reasons. I will however, share class notes with you, and where possible any materials, to allow you to catch up with the session at home. If in doubt it is always possible to book individual sessions.
